An unfortunate reality is that not all merchants who sell Hoodia products are doing so in order to bring a good product to the market. As Hoodia has become more and more popular, many companies are now using the name of Hoodia in order to make their fortune. They use either only a small amount of the product, or a piece of the Hoodia Gordonii plant that does not have the powerful P57 enzyme in it. Fortunately you can avoid getting these products by doing some simple research.

By reading Hoodia reviews, you can empower yourself and can learn quickly which products work and which do not. The products that do not work have a number of bad reviews attached to them. You won’t find these reviews on the company’s website, however, as they are trying to sell a product. If you would like to discover which Hoodia truly works, you will have to look to another website. Look to websites that focus specifically on reviewing Hoodia products. An unbiased website that hosts a number of Hoodia reviews is often the best place to discover which Hoodia product is real and which is not.

Hoodia and the P57 Compound

Most people wonder exactly how Hoodia works. How is it possible for a little pill to stop your body from craving foods that it doesn’t need? Scientists spent a very long time researching this exact question and were eventually able to discover how Hoodia Gordonii helped the San Bushmen to go on long hunting trips without having to deal with hunger pangs.

Hoodia extract has a compound in it known as P57. Through a number of tests and studies, scientists were able to discover that P47 goes directly into the brain and mimics glucose, tricking your body into thinking that you are already full. It tells the hypothalamus, which is the part of the brain that tells your body whether you are hungry or not, that you have enough fuel in your body to keep going, and that you do not need to eat. Those who participated in the study found that once they lost the desire to snack, they were able to cut hundreds of calories out of their diet without suffering, losing pounds faster than they had ever imagined. At this time, the P57 compound can not be recreated in a lab, meaning that the only place you can get it is through a genuine Hoodia product.
