Buying Legal Hoodia
April 17th, 2008
A number of weight loss companies manufacture their own product. Because the ingredients are all synthetic, you do not have to worry about whether or not the product is legal. But what about Hoodia products? Hoodia products are created using the extract of a plant that grows only in the desert in South Africa. It requires a special permit, known as a C.I.T.E.S. permit, in order to bring the extract to any other country. How can you be sure that the company you are ordering from has permission to use the Hoodia Gordonii extract?
To begin with, any company that is selling true Hoodia should have a copy of the C.I.T.E.S. permit available on their website. If they do not, you should ask them for one. Never take for granted that a company has a C.I.T.E.S. permit. If they are unable to produce a copy of one for you to see, you may want to be a bit suspicious. The only way a company can legally bring the Hoodia Gordonii extract into the country is through the use of an official C.I.T.E.S. permit. Never order Hoodia from a company that does not have one.
